Our valued Public Sector Client is looking for a Senior SharePoint Developer to develop an information management intranet SharePoint site.


The mission is to enable strategic decisions, capability and force development efforts through rigor of analysis, forecasting and validation of Information Capabilities (IC). This IM repository is in support of the clients upcoming requirement to adopt SharePoint as a repository. To date, rudimentary information management tools and practices have been used to manage information related to requirements and projects. Members still store information locally on their computers and share it using email. This prevents effective collaboration and timely access to information. A complete overhaul of our information management tools and processes is required to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the directorate.


Responsibilities:

  • Consult with the directorate stakeholders (leaders and users) and the organization’s Information Management Officer (IMO) to identify comprehensive business requirements for a MS SharePoint document management repository used as a collaboration and publication platform that conforms to the organization’s Microsoft 365 directives and best practices.
  • Analyze and document the gathered business and customer requirements and translate them into System and Functional requirements to a repository and collaboration platform using SharePoint on prem or on site, integrated with MS Teams.
  • Recommend and develop business process to migrate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from a manual system to an automated system when recommended (for example by developing Power Automate functions) to track tasks, issues, challenges, projects, Record of Decision (RoD), or to automatically build dashboards for projects status.
  • Put a plan to develop and manage the resulting platform, and, once functional, train the team on how to best use it and transfer knowledge to resources for the long-term maintenance.


Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 2 SharePoint projects within the past 3 years.
  • 5 + years of experience with SharePoint.
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Teams features.
  • 5+ years of experience with Power Automate/Power Apps.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in a related field.

  • Bilingual (English and French)
