Our innovative wireless solutions provider serving municipal/industrial clients that is founded in Calgary 35 years ago is seeking an intermediate or senior Software Developer (C#.NET) to design and build smart municipal/industrial applications (web/desktop/mobile) using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE on PostgreSQL/AWS.

Location: Candidate must be already located in or near Calgary as work will be fully in office to start. After you’re ramped up there is flexibility to work from home, but coming in as often as possible is valued with this tight-knit team. Great central location just north of 16th ave off of Edmonton trail. Free parking!

ROLE OVERVIEW:

• 70% - Solutions: Brainstorming, Software design and development, Verification activities
• 20% - Planning and Docs: Define software requirements, Prepare design/protocol/user documentation, Test plans, Propose or execute process improvements
• 10% - Communications: Support communications internally (i.e. Sales and Production)and externally (i.e. Customers and Partners)
• Actively participate in the adoption of innovative tools, frameworks, and strategies

SKILLS:

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of software development experience with the C# language and .NET framework
• Experience building user interface centric applications using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE (in order of priority: web, desktop and mobile)
• At least basic knowledge of database concepts (schema design, indexing, etc.) in ideally PostgreSQL database server and/or Microsoft SQL server
• Experience using SQL to implement stored procedures (ideally in a cloud server database - They use AWS)
• Experience working in a small team or company with mentality to self-start while also pitching in where the team needs
