Position Role/Tile: Software Engineer - Application Developer - Python Developer

Contract Duration: 4 months

Responsibilities:

The Banking Client is looking for support in completing the development of a set of data feeds to tracking logical access to DB and Platform systems in their Azure and AWS environments.

• IAM team requires feeds to be generated for each platform (Azure and AWS) and database type (Azure SQL, AWS RDS Neptune etc) that can check all instances of these sources and extract users plus other metadata and collect the data in a central location for further processing by IAM.
• requires assistance in completing the engineering work for these feeds, fully operationalizing them, and maintaining/adding functionality to them.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• Strong Python, especially the object oriented methods o Bash, Groovy Supporting application teams
• Creating runbooks & work with support teams/Devops/Secops
• Working with security and risk teams to ensure solutions meet their requirements. For example, that appropriate monitoring, runbooks and documentation is in place and tested Database & Data Transformation
• Solid understanding relational & non-relation DBs
• Internal structure
• Composing Sql & NoSql queries
• Cloud based DB auth (AD integration)
• Basic understanding of what ETL/ELT is and how it is applied Cloud
• Networking in Azure and AWS Dev Ops
• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Containers, Identity Management o Monitoring & alerting: specifically writing queries in Splunk, automating, and integrating with 3rd party services (ServiceNow, Jira, etc) Languages
• Field questions from the application teams who will be impacted by the data feed work
• Assisting them with remediation requests from the IAM team working on the feed integrations
• We’re looking for a person who has black-belt level of Python development (not just scripting), extensive experience in DevOps area, specifically with IaC tech (Terraform, Azure RM, etc) and good expertise with automation practices (Git actions, Jenkins, pipelines of all sorts).
