Our public sector client is looking for an Senior Technical Writer to assist with the development of a solution requirements document and test cases for a large automatic payment enrolment project.


This position is hybrid, three days on-site and two days remote.


Tasks Include:

  • Assist the Business Analyst in developing and reviewing the solution requirements to ensure they trace back to the business need through stakeholder/business requirements.
  • Assist the Business Analyst to verify that all business/stakeholder requirements are covered by solution requirements and designs.
  • Prepare test cases that can trace back to the detailed solution requirements and use cases.
  • Attend meetings with business and technical teams to discuss solution requirements as needed.
  • Review documentation standards and QA documents.
  • Gather information concerning the features and functions provided by the developers.
  • Investigate the accuracy of the information collected by making direct use of the material being documented.
  • Construct walkthroughs and tailor technical information to different audiences.
  • Author new content for guides, manuals, web pages, etc.


Must Have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Writer working in an IM/IT environment.
  • Canadian Post-Secondary degree/Diploma or equivalent
