Sr. Business Analyst for gathering SAP data requirements, building PowerBI dashboards, and functional testing

Our large energy client is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for gathering SAP data requirements, building PowerBI dashboards, and functional testing to start early October for a 6 month contract.

Candidate must be located in/near Calgary to come into the office 5 days/week and provide own laptop.

Role Overview: Working with the downstream business stakeholders, you will gather data reporting requirements using your strong facilitating and collaboration skills. With your understanding of SAP (ie transaction codes, business warehouse, and master data) you will translate these functional requirements into PowerBI dashboarding and then create test cases and complete functional testing. This project is in flight and on a tight timeline. Therefore the ability to ramp up quickly is imperative.

Must-Have:

• 7+ years Business Analysis experience
• Experience working on projects related to SAP projects that required understanding transaction codes and master data
• Experience with creating test cases and functional testing
• Experience gathering data reporting requirements
• Power BI skills with data imports and building dashboards

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience automating reporting capabilities within Excel
• SAP BW experience
• SAP IBP experience (Integrated Business Planning)
• Oil & Gas industry knowledge
• Understanding of demand planning in downstream business
