Sr. Business Consultant to provide vendor management/contract execution for our banking client - 67884-1

Duration: 1 year

Location: Hybrid (1 day a week in DT Toronto)

Position Overview:

• The Business Consultant will support the North American Commercial Banking Technology and Operations, Business Enablement team, with contract negotiations and will also support our technology managers in the overall governance of suppliers:
• Responsible for the negotiation of third party agreements with specific focus on technology related products and services
• Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives; seeks opportunities to minimize costs
• Conducts analysis to inform recommendations; provides effective communications to all managerial levels
• Responsible for onboarding new vendors, including management of the risk assessments, providing sound judgement in the assessment process, acting as a subject matter expert for technology, coordinating with all stakeholders including the vendor, legal counsel, along with the business and technology stakeholders.

Must Haves:

• 3 + years of experience in supplier management/contract execution experience
• Experience with supplier risk management & ongoing governance
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Familiarity with the SDLC (Agile and Waterfall)
• Banking industry experience

Nice-to-have:

• Experience as a business analyst aligned to technology projects, and/or project management are an asset.
• Experience in working with off shore providers is beneficial, although not absolutely required.
