Sr. Compliance and Governance Analyst to support Model Development LOB of our banking client

Start Date: Mid-September 2024

Duration: 18 months (mat leave coverage)

Location: Hybrid - Tues and Thur



Must haves:


  • 7+ years of experience as a Compliance and Governance Analyst coming from audit/consulting firms.
  • Expert knowledge of Credit Risk domain, model development, IFRS, OSFI
  • Project Management Skills
  • Banking industry experience



Key Responsibilities:
  • Issue Management for MDPA (Model Development, Production & Analytics):
  • Follow up on the progress of remediation with issue/finding owners.
  • Update the tracker and create a monthly dashboard.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings to discuss open findings/issues.
  • Management of Deliverables for IFRS9 Workstream:
  • Provide project management support for the model development team, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Audit Support:
  • Assist in audit requests, both external and internal.
  • Track progress and gather deliverables from the team for audit purposes.
  • Prepare decks for leadership updates as required.
  • Compliance Process Setup:
  • Set up compliance processes for MDPA.
  • Perform independent validation of the operating effectiveness of controls.
  • Support teams in implementing additional controls where there are gaps in the process.
  • Assist in the implementation of various compliance programs.
  • Review specific OSFI guidance and build the oversight program accordingly.
