Sr. DevOps Architect to automate the SDLC by implementing CI/CD capabilities for infrastructure and applications


Location: North York (Hybrid 3 days per week on-site)

Duration: Permanent


Responsibilities:

DevOps

o Design and implement end to end highly scalable and resilient solutions for infrastructure and application services for our client’s hybrid clouds.

o Automate the software development lifecycle by Implementing CI /CD capabilities for infrastructure and applications in accordance with the established governance rules relating to code quality, test requirements, cybersecurity.

o Implement and manage Web Application Firewalls to provide unified application security posture protecting APIs & Web Applications at the edge; reduces client-side risks.

o Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management. Address Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) as per established procedures.

o Design, implement and manage Source Code Control (Github); binaries and artifacts via an Artifact Repository (JFrog or equivalent)

o Design and implement Dev, QA / UAT and Production application environments.

o Ensure application environments, tools & approved 3rd party components are kept up to date as per established patching & update procedures.

o Implement automated processes wherever possible with continuous modernization and upgrade of existing processes / scripts.

o Incidence management and root cause analysis

Solutions Architect

o Drives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.

o Work closely with cross-functional application & infrastructure teams to produce comprehensive end-to-end solution opportunities.

o Provides architecture direction for developers recognizing custom and standard technical frameworks, GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) audit policies and procedures including PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information)

o Participates in defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps & ensure alignment of initiatives with the target state.

o Builds strong partnership with developers to ensure proper alignment of skills with technology direction.

o Participate in code reviews, security audits, and performance testing to maintain the integrity of Cloud and Hybrid solutions.

o Stay up to date with the latest technologies and security trends to ensure our solutions remain innovative, secure, and cost-efficient.

o Define and maintain documentation of architectural solutions and procedures (Standard Operating Procedures)


Must have skills:

· Strong experience in RHEL Linux v8

· Strong experience in Ansible, Github, Jenkins, JFrog, Cloudflare Web Application Firewall, Docker / Podman / Kubernetes / Okta

· Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

· Shell Scripting (Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python, etc)

· Excellent knowledge of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles

· Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services

· Proficient in current web standards & frameworks
