Sr. Full-Stack developer to build micro-services working with Kubernetes/Docker for our banking client- 381

Location: Downtown Toronto

WFH/Office/Hybrid: hybrid. 1 -2 days per week in office

Contract Duration: 12 months, with extension

Interview process: 3 rounds. 1st round intro/technical interview. there will be a take home technical question which expect to finish in a day (or 2). If both looks good, then 2nd interview, which there will be a 2 or 3 ad-hoc Java coding exercise. 3rd interview, will be with HMs boss in UK or GZ.

Must-haves

• Strong knowledge of Java (Hibernate/Spring Cloud/ Sprint Boot) with JMS/Messaging on the server-side
• Front end JavaScript (Angular) knowledge
• Strong knowledge and hands on experience of cloud related development
• Strong knowledge and comprehensive experience on development of micro-services
• Experience in Kubernetes / docker container
• Banking/FI experience specifically with trade/loan applications

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in developing GCP Looker report

About the Role

• The Securities Lending business provides securities lending services to major UK and international financial institutions, including pension funds and insurance companies.

• To support this business there are a number of core IT applications, and in particular for this role, you will be focus on the post trade services such as loan settlement management.

• Mainly Develop software on an application called Global1 and its related suite of products and services

• Communicate with stakeholders, both within the business and in technology.

• Work with a wide range of different technologies

• Collaborate with teams across the Securities finance department

Responsibilities

• Understand business initiatives through regular interactions with project managers, business analysts and development managers.

• Work closely with local and global development teams in overall solution design and technical design activities.

• Deliver high-quality Java server-side software solution in a timely fashion. Any software developed is rigorously unit tested (including but not limited to automated unit tests), satisfies the requirements while adhering to the technical design and existing departmental standards and best practices for software development.

• Provide bug fixing as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
