Title: Sr. QA Analyst (JIRA, AODA, UI Automation) for Financial Applications

Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension)

Location: Downtown Toronto [1-2 days a week in the office]


Overview:

We are seeking a QA Analyst with strong experience in testing methodologies, defect tracking, and automation to support quality assurance efforts for financial applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JIRA, AODA testing, and UI automation, along with a solid understanding of financial products such as ETFs and Mutual Funds.


Must-Have Skills:
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • JIRA for defect tracking and Confluence for documentation
  • Experience with AODA and accessibility testing (WCAG guidelines)
  • Ability to develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Basic knowledge of UI automation tools (Selenium, Appium) and automation frameworks
  • Basic understanding of financial products (ETFs, Mutual Funds, etc.) or Wealth LOB experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively identify and report issues
  • Hands-on experience with responsive/mobile testing across multiple devices (iOS/Android)



Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI



Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and execute test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications
  • Perform AODA accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG standards
  • Use JIRA for defect tracking and Confluence for test documentation
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Execute UI automation scripts, maintain automation frameworks, and support test automation initiatives
  • Conduct API testing (if applicable) to validate integrations
  • Provide detailed and accurate test reporting, defect tracking, and test status updates
  • Perform responsive testing to validate web applications across multiple devices and browsers

Interview Process:
