Description
Our clients is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join the development team in The Digital Twin is a critical application supporting the company’s operational needs, providing real-time data visualization, simulation, and decision support to improve efficiency and passenger experience. This role will work alongside a Lead Business Analyst, making it ideal for an intermediate-level professional who is comfortable collaborating with a senior BA while contributing to Agile product development and system integration efforts.
1 year contract, potential for extension, Hybrid (3 days) in Richmond office, 7.5 hrs per day
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst.
- Experience supporting Windows and mobile app (iOS) development projects.
- Background working with Scrum teams in an Agile product delivery model, with a focus on translating strategic roadmaps into feature-driven backlog items.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end product development lifecycles, liaising effectively between product and technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of business process analysis, systems planning, and problem definition.
- Proven ability to document, analyze, and assess information from multiple sources, prioritizing key findings and resources.
- Considerable experience in information technology components, processes, and the application development lifecycle.
- Expertise in integration management, with a technology-agnostic approach to system connectivity.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for Agile collaboration and documentation.
- Strong requirements gathering and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in data mapping, SQL, and data flow documentation.
- Proven experience in software testing and test plan development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Experience in cloud computing and system integration
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and integration requirements for Digital Twin and operational software solutions.
- Develop technical documentation with detailed data mapping and process flows.
- Understand and document data flows between systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with internal resources to ensure successful implementation and integration of systems.
- Expertise with Jira, Confluence, Epics, User Story development, and Business User Flows Creation.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Use data analytics and metrics tools to inform business decisions, optimizing product development and operational strategies. • Facilitate problem-solving discussions and communications between business and technical teams.
- Lead information-gathering sessions with stakeholders, analyze information, and prioritize business requirements.
- Create key deliverables, including process flows, business requirements documents, traceability matrices, work breakdown structures, high-level design documents, test plans, reports, and dashboards.
- Assist stakeholders with change management in work processes and system implementations.
- Work closely with technical teams to develop and implement scalable, effective solutions aligned with business needs.
- Demonstrate proactive organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
