Our Calgary client is looking for a Tier 2 Field Operations Support Specialist with strong experience in field applications, ISP internet solutioning, and network troubleshooting to support commercial end-users in a geographically dispersed environment.


Looking for candidates that are ok with 5 days on site, staggered shifts and on-call rotation.

Must Haves:

  • 8+ years of Windows Desktop and Application Support experience.
  • Experience with field applications in ISP and internet solutioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in networking and ISP environments.
  • PowerShell scripting expertise for automation, auditing, and system configuration changes.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Microsoft 365 Admin
  • Knowledge of endpoint management tools such as Intune, AutoPilot, AutoComplete, and PatchMyPC.
  • Solid understanding of the Cisco Meraki platform and TCP/IP stack.
  • Vendor management experience to optimize service agreements and ensure efficient operations.

Nice to Haves:

  • Project management experience, particularly in mid-sized organizations.
  • Expertise in Azure application registration, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO) configuration.
  • Strong technical documentation skills to create training materials and operational guides.
  • Familiarity with ISP-specific tools and processes to enhance solutioning efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support for field applications and ISP internet solutioning to ensure smooth operations in distributed environments.
  • Collaborate with ISPs to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
  • Maintain and optimize relationships with vendors to improve service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and maintain IT solutions to drive seamless business operations and optimize systems.
  • Develop operational processes and documentation to enhance service delivery and troubleshooting efficiency.
  • Guide and support technical staff, fostering continuous improvement in problem resolution.
  • Manage networking issues related to TCP/IP, Cisco Meraki, and other infrastructure components.
  • Monitor and maintain security standards, including patch management and MFA enforcement.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated incidents and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize field operations and support cross-departmental IT projects.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours incident response and critical support needs.
