STENO III

Full-Time Permanent

The Steno III provides support to the administrators by performing a variety of tasks to ensure seamless organization of the Student Achievement Department. The Stenographer III co-ordinates and provides administrative and secretarial support for the effective day-to-day operation of the department. Duties include assisting the superintendent, principals or other staff with the daily development of documents, programs, reports and other correspondence.

Qualifications:

Required : Advanced skills in various software applications, e.g. MS Office, Google Workspace. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred : Knowledge of Simcoe County District School Board Policies and Administrative Procedures Memoranda, and Numbered Memoranda. Demonstrated knowledge of board approved software, as applicable, e.g. EasyConnect, SchoolCash.net, JDEdwards,

Testing may be required during the selection process.

Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
