The impact you will have:

The Workplace Journey Architect (Softchoice’s answer to Solution Architecture) is responsible for articulating what is possible for our customers to transform their business for the hybrid-cloud era with productivity suites such as Microsoft 365. Working alongside a team of sales professionals at Softchoice, you play a vital role in architecting solutions to enable a modern workplace for our customers. As an ambassador of the Softchoice brand, you will represent our value as one of North America's top solutions providers by unlocking our customers' potential to be future-ready right now through the use of technology. What you'll do:

  • Challenge customers by using your skills, insight, and experience to help our customers see what it takes to do the right things versus simply doing things right. Confidently challenge their beliefs with well-researched, tailored insights to spotlight your innovative ways of generating solutions that maximize outcomes.

  • Showcase your growth mindset by seeking to understand our customers' business challenges first and then designing a solution that best achieves the end goal in the shortest possible route.

  • Strategic roadmaps or initiatives that really move the needle with our customers.

  • Bridging the gap between business outcomes and IT initiatives.

  • Architecture and design of holistic workplace solutions.

  • Develop workplace solutions vision that our customers want to embrace and execute upon.

  • Specify the deliverables of consulting and implementation projects by writing the statements of work (SOW) for Softchoice services.

  • Collaborate with the service delivery teams to ensure the services are delivered as specified in your statements of work and as required to meet customer business outcome objectives.

  • Take leadership on enabling our sales, pre-sales and post-sales teams on the value of Softchoice solutions for Hybrid IT.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in selling, architecting, and/or implementing workplace solutions with a focus on Microsoft M365 solutions.

  • Background in Public Sector with a strong background in Canadian or US public sector verticals

  • The ideal will have existing federal security clearance or the ability to obtain it, ensuring seamless integration into high-security projects

  • Very strong and in-depth understanding of the major components of Microsoft M365. Current Microsoft Certifications will be an asset.
  • Required technologies:

  • Microsoft 365 Productivity and Collaboration (Office 365 suite: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)

  • Microsoft 365 Identity and Threat Protection (Enterprise Mobility + Security)

  • Microsoft 365 Device and Apps Management (Windows 10-11)

  • M365 CoPilot

  • Secondary technologies:

  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI)

  • Microsoft 365 Information Protection and Governance (Azure Information Protection, Security Center)

  • Understanding of project management principles, such as WBS, Agile Framework, effort estimating, approach definition, budgeting and the ability to apply these to Statements of Work.

  • Understanding of (architectural) frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT

  • Demonstrated ability to write technical documents with attention to fine detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional cross-functional team collaboration skills

  • Self-starter and collaborative in business planning, leading discussions on forecasts and account plans to promote intentional selling in targeted accounts

  • Ability to travel up to 30%
