The impact you will have:

Reporting to the Director, Offshore Service Delivery, the People & Culture Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, fostering a positive work culture, and driving performance improvements. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives. You will have the opportunity to have impact and visibility with this key function at Softchoice.

This role is hybrid with the expectation of working in the office 1-2 times per week.

What you’ll do:

  • Tenacity to drive outcomes and execution in a ‘start up’ environment
  • Willingness to lead from the front and be prepared to dive into many traditional and nontraditional facets of P&C roles to support ELT Sponsor, Partner and Director
  • Develop and execute HR strategies to support the growth and performance of offshore delivery teams.
  • Activity work with Director to drive attainment of business case objectives
  • Lead governance process of roles that are ready to be offshored
  • Lead recruiting and onboarding approach with Partner to ensure alignment of offshore resources to SC’s needs and objectives, including responsibility to ensure recruiting and people SLAs are achieved by partner (selective screening of candidates to maintain consistency)
  • Work with Director and Director+ team at SC to build out framework to ensure a broad cross section or roles can be set up for success with offshore partner
  • Partner internally to drive best practices to onshoring across SC leadership team.
  • Accountable to support enablement of the talent - utilizing internal tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert of P&C, legal, and regulatory requirements in conjunction with best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, maintain and engaged workforce and retain the best talent

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources including experience in a business partner role in a related industry (experience working with offshore teams an asset)
  • A university degree in a related discipline (Human Resources, Industrial Relations)
  • Have the ability to work toward a future vision or state without having all the necessary details
  • Have proven ability to interact with all levels with comprehensive consultative, partnering, facilitating and influencing/negotiation skills
  • Possess strong integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information
  • Successfully manage several competing priorities while meeting expected timelines
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, requiring little direction
  • Solution oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong communication and presentation skills plus the ability to work in partnership with Centers of Expertise on special projects or initiatives
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, maintain and engaged workforce and retain the best talent
  • Strong organizational development experience and the ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
