What You’ll Do
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned categories strategies to drive savings aligned with company objectives and business partners goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to business partners on best-in-class procurement practices, on-going advancements and opportunities associated with assigned categories, and strategic category insights to support delivery of company objectives
- Maintain category playbooks
- Ensure compliance with the policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines of the company.
- Effectively partner and collaborate with internal business units to influence, develop, and gain buy-in on category strategies
- Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and delivery specifications; prioritize all requests according to stakeholder needs
- Manage the procurement life cycle and facilitate the complete requisition approval process, including application of our cost allocation methodologies
- Develop and present pricing and service options for large purchases, including saving analysis, vendor offering comparisons, and solution recommendations
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufactures; perform market research to better understand current and future offerings relative to our business
- Negotiate prices, terms and conditions, delivery specifications, and services
- Work with the accounting team to ensure a smooth and timely process for executing invoice payments and GL posting
- Work with legal team to ensure that contracts support buying decisions
- Challenge the status quo by actively participating in and taking a leadership role in the continuous improvement, implementation of innovations and automations to create best-in-class procurement practices that are intuitive and user-friendly for internal stakeholders
Experience You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and accomplishments
- 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement
- Experience managing large and complex projects in software development industry or technology companies
- Experience using analytical tools is a plus
- Strong Excel skills preferred
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple project deliverables on multiple projects effectively
- Demonstrates excellent communication, listening and influencing skills, able to communicate complex information to decision makers and key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent commercial understanding and business acumen
- Demonstrated ability to navigate difficult situations through relationship building and influencing others
- Results-driven both short and long term
