In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop manufacturing strategy and execute initiatives to achieve the company's strategic objectives and operational excellence, in the short, medium and long term
  • Represent and promote the organization's health and safety, vision and values within work teams
  • Supported by the Production Department Manager, ensure the management of sound labor relations and the application of the collective agreement
  • Ensure the reliability of production equipment by effectively managing the maintenance department
  • Work with other members of management to establish a common strategy to ensure the company's growth and profitability
  • Préparer your department's operating budget in line with the objectives to be met, and implement cost management initiatives
  • Diriger plant personnel and supervisors towards a common development objective, growth and efficiency

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering or operations management
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in team management, within a manufacturing company, including at least 5 years in a supervisory position in a unionized environment
  • Very good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing management practices
  • Good notions of industrial maintenance, TRG and gap analysis
  • Oriented towards continuous improvement
  • Communicate effectively in French and English
