Description
In this position, you will have the opportunity to :
- Organize and coordinate all production activities in the thermoforming department, respecting priorities to ensure production objectives are met.
- Supervise a team of 20 to 25 employees while ensuring a safe working environment
- Act as a coach and ensure skills development for all employees
- Work closely with the quality team to ensure that quality objectives and activities are met.
- Ensure performance standards are met
- Implement improvement initiatives that can influence the results and efficiency of your employees' day-to-day work.
With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- College or university degree in mechanical engineering, administration or other related field;
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and in personnel management (ideally in a unionized environment), or any other experience deemed relevant
- Good understanding of management practices (“Lean manufacturing”, Kanban, Kaisen, TPS, 5S)
- Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills
