Description
Namao School is located just minutes north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert. It serves Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grades 1-9, with an approximate total population of 400 students and 38 staff. Namao School fosters a safe and caring environment for students to learn and thrive in a close-knit school community. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements.
FTE: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Full-Time Temporary
Initial Assignment: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in an elementary classroom.
Qualifications & Experience: Teachers Aid Certificate/Diploma; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference given to applicants with experience and training with positive behaviour supports and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.
Hourly Rate: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
