POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Assistant Store Manager, the Stock Person position is critical to the success of Summit Tools. We are seeking a team player who is self-motivated with a strong attention to detail. The Stock Person will leverage their quick and efficient work style and consistently go the extra mile when it comes to stocking initiatives within the retail store environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise
- Tag, attach, or change price on merchandise, referring to price list
- Staying up to date with current promotions and specials
- Detailed cleaning of display cases, shelves, demo area's and aisles
- Occasional Warehouse Work
- Receiving shipments
- Set up advertising signs and displays of merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales
- Ensure that safe work practices are followed including using proper lifting techniques
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 or GED
- Prior Stocking Experience
- Able to lift, pull and push up to and including 50 pounds.
- Able to stand and walk around for extended periods of time
- Great Communication Skills
- Detail Oriented
- Strong command of written & spoken English
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Completion of a criminal record check
