Job Description:

Role Summary:

As a Plan Implementation Specialist, you will gain experience working on a diverse set of tasks that will enhance your knowledge of our GRS systems and give you the opportunity to strengthen your technical, and project management skills. You will interact with our internal partners including Implementation Managers, Fund Operations and Business Development

A bit about the role:

Responsible for handling end to end process and interactions related to fund changes, project sweeps, system set up for new business and amendments within our service standards.

  • Handle plan level set up and changes to GRS record keeping efficiently and accurately and within the defined service standard

  • Manage fund sweeps and all associated tasks

  • Ensure New Client set up corrections are completed on time

  • Partner with the Manager to ensure all issues and complaints are escalated/logged and acted upon within 24 hours

  • Share feedback or other issues with Manager to improve processes and the relationship with the client/internal business partners

  • Accurately track all assigned work in the workflow systems (Pega, email)

  • Participate actively in all aspects of the Brighter Way Management system including huddles, GEMBA, Continuous Improvement and problem-solving meetings.

  • Strong initiative to ownership of work

  • Act as a SME in project work where applicable

  • Strong comprehension skills; effective written and verbal communications

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal departments and external service providers

What you bring with you:

  • Plan level knowledge of retirement products such as RRSP, RRIF/LIF, DCPP, DPSP, LIRA etc.

  • Plan level knowledge of the GRS systems, Pega and Outlook

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
