Description
At Sunnybrook, it’s about more than delivering quality patient care, pioneering non-invasive medicine, or exceeding all expectations for customer service excellence. It’s about having the opportunity to be more challenged, more engaged, more fulfilled as a professional and as an individual, recognized for your personal contributions to the future of Sunnybrook and of cutting edge health care.
As one of Canada’s premier academic health sciences centres, we impact the lives of one million patients every year who count on us when it matters most. And, as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, we have a vibrant culture where all members of our team are encouraged to continue to learn and grow, to achieve more, to be more innovative and go the extra mile in their day-to-day encounters with patients, families and each other.
The Legal Services department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre has an opportunity for a student for an articling position for the 2025-2026 articling term. The articling position is aimed at law students with a proven interest in the field of health law. Sunnybrook is a complex and multi-faceted healthcare organization with both corporate and research legal needs. The successful applicant would be expected to be an integral part of the Legal Services team in meeting these needs. The student-at-law will gain exposure to a range of work including: policy review and development, corporate governance, corporate commercial agreements, pre-clinical and clinical research agreements, intellectual property matters, privacy issues, educational initiatives and other legal writings. The aim of the articling experience at Sunnybrook is to offer students an opportunity to gain substantive, practical and real-life experience in health law. While all applicants will be considered, those students interested in health law are most suited for the role.
All interested applicants are asked to submit their applications and transcripts to: legalservices@sunnybrook.ca
Compensation is competitive with other public sector organizations.
We welcome electronic applications. Only applicants that are short listed will be asked to participate in an interview.
