Job Description:

Position Overview:
A newly formed Regional Operations Team will provide operational support following the regional Epic go-live in December 2021, to the seven (7) acute hospital organizations in the Central East (CE) region: Campbellford Memorial Hospital, Haliburton Highland Health Services, Lakeridge Health, Northumberland Hills Hospital, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Ross Memorial Hospital and Scarborough Health Network. These organizations have been on a clinical transformation journey to implement a shared, regional Epic CIS solution as well as a number of regional third-party applications since July 2019.

The CE Regional Operations Team will have a dedicated leadership team overseeing five (5) work streams: Outpatient Ancillary, Inpatient, Access/Revenue & Reporting, 3rd Party & Integration and Technical. Each team will have a number of clinical and technical analysts, and Principal Trainers (PTs). The Regional Operations team will work on behalf of all 7 hospital organizations. Scarborough Health Network (SHN) will manage employee policies and act as paymaster on behalf of all 7 hospital organizations

The ClinDoc Analyst is responsible for building and testing all the inpatient Clinical Documentation workflows and clinical content in Epic

Responsibilities:
• Acting as Tier 2 support contact for the application's end
users
• Identifying issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them
• Guiding workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software
• Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows by attending site visits and other integrated sessions
• Participating in training and working with end users
• Troubleshooting problems and questions
• Reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
• Assisting with user support, troubleshooting application errors, optimizing the build and fixing issues after the system goes live

This role may include on-call support on a rotational basis*

Requirements:
• Experience working with Epic® (Essential)
• Epic Inpatient application certification (Clindoc preferred) (Essential)
• Clinical experience with Nursing background or another clinical discipline (Preferred)
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Hospital clinician with knowledge of various clinical workflows (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of clinical systems and administrative departments, operations and core clinical/process workflows an asset.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills, able to logically examine a problem and determine the route cause and course of action and appropriately prioritize work
• Take ownership over own work and have initiative to recognize tasks that need to be completed
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and stakeholders
• The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• The ability and willingness to learn new software, systems and processes
• Highly reliable, able to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles and work under time pressures
• Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public with integrity, empathy and professionalism
