Description
PAYROLL TECHNICIAN
Our well-established client is looking for a Payroll Technician. This is a full-time permanent position.
Salary: 70k to 75k per year, according to experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35h per week, hybrid position
Localization: Baie-d’Urfé (Parking on-site)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefits payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.
- Liaise with the HR department and Finance department to ensure accurate information for payment.
- Manage electronic timekeeping systems or manually collect and review timesheets.
- Utilize computer software for data entry and accounts management.
- File relevant reports and documents as needed.
- Verify employee records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy.
- Review and abide by company policies, procedures, and collective agreement stipulations.
- Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, pension, Records of employment and other statements.
- Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts.
- Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
- May be responsible for the development or implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and processes.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role, five years minimum.
- Fluent in English and French (Intermediate French).
- Perfect knowledge of Payroll software programs (UKG Kronos), and Microsoft Office.
- Accurate and meticulous in data entry.
- Exceptional calculation and memory skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
