With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is seeking full-time Systems Analyst, SAP ERP Services within the ICT department.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting to and under the direction of the Coordinator, Enterprise Applications, the primary function of this position to effectively administer and implement the Board's SAP ERP and related solutions.

  • Administrating all aspects of SAP Basis Administrator job functions which include system installation, system/client copies, upgrades and application patches, transport software change management, as well as access via Single Sign-On and certificates
  • Supporting and maintaining the SAP system landscape including development, test, staging and production environments, as well as high availability system design and system sizing and load testing
  • Monitoring and maintaining system and application health (i.e., system logs, events, and alerts), reviewing and assessing risk, and responding accordingly
  • Carrying out activities including Solution Manager configuration, maintaining System Landscape Directory, and configuring alerts
  • Facilitating software change requests to meet business process change requirements in conjunction with various departments
  • Monitoring and responding to application cyber security issues, including assessing risk, reporting, and applying patches and updates
  • Researching issues, diagnosing, providing recommendations, and implementing acceptable solutions
  • Regularly reviewing system for resource and capacity planning
  • Monitoring and responding to tickets escalated from the ICT Service Desk
  • Meeting with the Coordinator, Enterprise Applications to set and monitor goals and review status on projects and tasks
  • Responding to major issues and critical incidents including system outages and security
  • Available after-hours as needed to carry out changes as well as for emergency response to mission critical and major incidents
  • Maintaining documentation on system design, architecture, security, processes, and procedures
  • Understanding of business processes leveraging SAP modules
  • Early recognition of potential problems, communicating and acting to mitigate risks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, management information systems, computer engineering, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in SAP Basis administration with SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC), Solution Manager and SAP Enterprise Portal systems
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SAP Basis administration, related business processes and operational support of ERP systems in large enterprise environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server
  • Experience with planning and carrying out product updates and upgrades, as well as performing security reviews and carrying out security updates and improvements
  • Demonstrated ability of analyzing complex problems and proposing effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders in both technical and non-technical terms
  • Ability to self-organize, time management, and prioritize work assignments and tasks with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP training and/or certification would be an asset
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as with teams, staying organized, managing time effectively, and results oriented
  • Availability to work outside core office hours, as required

This is a non-union Level 9 position with a salary range of $85,621- $102,747 along with comprehensive benefits including pension plan, vacation, and professional development opportunities.
