JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Accounting Financial Analyst who thrives in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment who is driven for success. You will directly contribute to a rapidly growing organization by supporting all the accounting functions.

Reports to: Controller

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare various financial statements, reports and year-end files
  • Responsible for the month-end closing of various companies within the Group
  • General Ledger analysis, reconciliation and journal entry posting
  • Implement new accounting requirements
  • Manage all government accesses (MRQ, CRA)
  • Support management for all corporate files
  • Review internal processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Create, analyze and manage various reports in Excel
  • Execute any other administrative and accounting related task to support the Accounting Department

Requested skills

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Proficient in the use of accounting systems (QuickBooks, Unicom, Sage 50)
  • Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent attention to detail, methodical and analytical
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Pleasant, professional, team player
  • Autonomous and solution oriented
