Your Responsibilities:
- Actively collaborate with the Controller to define and strengthen the company's internal control environment and implement the various controls;
- Participate in the implementation of internal controls on documentation and process flows;
- Develop and execute detailed test plans to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of accounting systems and controls. Perform regular audits and reviews of financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards.
- Periodically analyze the balance sheet and income statement accounts assigned to it, ensuring consistency of information and drawing up action plans to remedy inconsistencies;
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal controls (SOX), by implementing best practices;
- Coordinate the ICFR program and conduct independent reviews of the design and operational effectiveness of internal processes;
- Propose continuous improvement recommendations to strengthen operational processes and control environments;
- Create and maintain detailed administrative procedures to standardize accounting processes and improve efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- University degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance or accounting, or any other relevant experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in auditing, internal controls (preferred)
- CPA designation (preferred).
- Experience in an accounting firm or assurance (an asset).
- Experience in the manufacturing sector (an asset).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, SOX, and office tools.
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service orientation.
