The Sr. Director, Research Facilities - Operations, Planning and Strategy is a member of the research senior management team that oversees research facilities from concept and design to operations, including being a significant contributor to the planning, development and implementation of large scale grants. Reporting to the Chief Planning Officer and Executive Director, Redevelopment, FMPRO (with dotted line reporting to the Executive Director, Research Strategy & Operations), the incumbent is responsible for: strategic facilities, space and infrastructure planning in UHN’s research portfolio; project master planning; building facilities operations; contractual relationship management; wet lab program development and compliance. In addition, the incumbent manages human resources, departmental planning, and oversees quality initiatives. The incumbent manages and has oversight over the financial resources of the Research Facilities portfolio, as well as large projects and performs corporate management and cross functional responsibilities.
