Reporting to the Manager, Physical Security Infrastructure, (formerly Electronic Access), Physical Resources, the Electronic Access System Administrator will perform the administrative duties related to the security access control system and its users.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Main person of contact for all inquiries regarding Electronic Access for the entire University campus.
- Working with campus partners for direction configure and update building access for individuals.
- Updates unlock scheduling for campus properties to provide access for client groups, according to University policy and procedures.
- Work with campus partners to facilitate classroom scheduling and student access to labs, meeting rooms and various other areas as required.
- Assist with management of key inventory and access to the physical key management cabinets which are integrated into the campus access control system.
- Onboard, configure and maintain contractor ID issuance and access to campus properties.
- Generate various documentation such as door-access reports and key management processes.
- Assisting Campus Community Police with investigations by providing door-access reports.
- Other duties, such as backing up the work order desk, assisting with key distribution from the Lockshop, may be required.
WHAT MUST YOU HAVE?
- A Community College diploma in office administration or business.
- Minimum two years’ experience working with Electronic Access systems.
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy on a regular basis, along with the ability to multi-task.
- The incumbent must also maintain confidentiality with respect to Electronic Access system information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of software (Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint & Outlook).
- Exceptional ability to work as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE EDGE?
- Experience with Genetec products.
- Extensive knowledge of the University campus layout including building locations, names and numbers.
- Several years’ office experience working with computers at an advanced level.
The incumbent may be required to work occasional emergency overtime.
