Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Dean - External Relations (ADER), Ontario Agricultural College (OAC), the Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the execution and evaluation of eLearning projects involving external stakeholders. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with these project partners to develop and maintain specifically assigned programs, including the further development and maintenance of a modular eLearning certificate focused on the core concepts of agriculture management and innovation. The Project Manager will manage the project lifecycle for a number of concurrent projects including engaging partners, analyzing information, preparing project documentation, tracking progress, managing communications and conducting analyses. As a member of a dynamic team, the Project Manager will engage with faculty, staff and broader stakeholders to lead the project process and will coordinate the activities of internal and external resources (human, financial, production, etc.) in accordance with timelines, budget, specific contract requirements and business objectives. The incumbent will rely on their experience in adult learning to participate in and coordinate the custom development of professional development projects including eLearning and other training endeavors. The position will be located in Guelph, with remote work options available.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in pedagogy, adult education, instructional design, or project management, with minimum 3 years of related experience
- Project management skills with superior organizational and time management skills to implement project plans and timelines, and make adjustments to project plans as needed
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in adult learning and education principles and practices, with prior experience in a post-secondary educational setting an asset
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and attend to detail, with excellent self-management skills, independent judgement and autonomy required
- Experience in collaborating with internal teams, industry partners and other stakeholders to manage expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including where interactions require tact to make recommendations and address problems
