General Purpose

The HPC Revenue Coordinator is primarily responsible for revenue control within the Health and Performance Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily duties may include invoicing, direct billing to third party insurance, reconciliation of revenue accounts, billing reconciliation, review of accounts receivable and collection of outstanding accounts, preparation of billing reports, interacting and working with practitioners, and functioning as a resource for clients, practitioners and administrative colleagues regarding billing policies and procedures.

The Revenue Billing Coordinator also serves as a member of the Administrative Team in the Health and Performance Centre and will be required to provide auxiliary support in tasks such as filing of electronic records, scanning, sending referrals, downloading laboratory reports, and recording and communicating appointments.

Requirements

  • Two (2) year Community College Graduation (Medical Office Administration Diploma preferred or related field) along with six months to one year of related experience. A combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in electronic medical billing, including direct billing to third party insurance, and previous experience with coordination of benefits in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity working with billing systems Eg. Input Health
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (excel and word).
  • Detail oriented with exceptional time management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of PHIPA, patient privacy and confidentiality
