Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Vison Field Technician to join the Visual Field Laboratory at Vancouver General Hospital. Apply today to join our team!

As a Vision Field Technician you will:

• Perform colour visions and visual field testing of patients by means of automated and manual techniques on (Sita/Basic Goldman) type perimeters.
• Perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests and assessment procedures as a member of the Eye Care Centre team.
• Provide test and treatment information for interpretation by medical staff.

Education & Experience

• Graduation from a recognized program in ophthalmic technology or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
