Come work as the Division Head, Gastroenterology with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
As the Head of Gastroenterology, you will lead a team of skilled professionals dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and research of gastrointestinal disorders. Your role will be pivotal in advancing the department’s clinical, academic, and research missions while ensuring top-quality patient care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts to implement innovative approaches to gastroenterology, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and techniques.
As the Division Head, Gastroenterology with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:
- Provide leadership and oversight of all clinical, research, and educational activities within the Department of Gastroenterology.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, including expanding access to services and adopting the latest advancements in treatment.
- Foster a culture of excellence in teaching and mentoring, contributing to the ongoing development of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Drive innovation through active participation in research initiatives and collaboration with local and international partners.
The Services will be provided at Vancouver Acute Health Service Delivery Area (VGH, UBCH, GF Strong) of Vancouver Coastal Health (''VCH"). It is expected that, on average, the time required to perform the Services will be approximately 4 hours per week (0.1 FTE).
Education, Licensing, & Experience:
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
Additional Qualifications:
- Proven track record of leadership in a clinical or academic setting.
- Strong commitment to patient care, education, and research.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
