Position: Certified Caregiver (Night Shift)
Department: Care Services
Reports to: Director of Care
Compensation: $2.00 hourly premium for night shifts
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents in personal and hygiene care during the night.
- Provide basic care in activities of daily living, respecting residents' abilities.
- Ensure residents' safety and comfort throughout the night.
- Monitor and communicate any changes in residents’ behavior to the Nursing team.
- Build trusting relationships with residents.
- Complete other night-specific tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- DEP in Healthcare Assistance or Home Care Assistance (completed or in progress).
- Experience in a senior living environment (an asset).
- Strong communication skills in English and French.
- BLS, PDSP, and First Aid certifications (current).
- Empathy, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
