Department mission

The mission of the Culture, Sports, Leisure and Community Development Department is to improve quality of life by promoting accessibility, participation, and integration of all citizens through the provision of excellent community, cultural, sports and recreational facilities, activities, and services.

Responsibilities and goals associated with the position

Reporting to the supervisor, the person works during a special event (e.g. St-Jean-Baptiste, Canada Day, family fair, Halloween, seniors' Christmas dinner, seniors' spring luncheon).

Examples of the incumbent's responsibilities:

  • Organizes and leads activities, moves, sets up or dismantles equipment, serves food and is responsible for inflatable games.
  • Acts as liaison between the Culture, Sports, Recreation and Community Development department and customers.
  • Enforces event and venue rules to ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Acts in a professional manner at all times to reflect the values of the City.

Working Hours

Schedule will be variable and on-call, based on upcoming events.

Salary

$16.85 (White Collar – Annex C)

Requested skills
