Manager – Kinesiology

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the manager plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and monitors the activities of Kinesiology to deliver services to patients. The manager establishes policies and procedures based on instructions from management and the professional standards of Vitalité Health Network and the profession. The manager establishes clinical processes and also manages budgets, equipment and supplies purchasing, human resources, risks and quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a recognized university in the health field, preferably a discipline under their supervision;
  • Member of a professional association in the health field;
  • Minimum of five years’ clinical experience;
  • Recent management experience an asset;
  • Skills in planning, evaluating and improving services and in resolving conflicts and problems;
  • Strategic-thinking skills and innovative and collaborative management style;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks;
  • Participatory leadership style that is focused on clients and outcomes and inspires commitment, respect, compassion and equity;
  • Commitment and adherence to change and ability to manage change with a positive attitude;
  • Ability to use reliable data in decision-making;
  • Interpersonal skills that promote a climate conducive to welcoming and showing concern for clients and to communicating effectively;
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Meditech software applications;
  • Sincere desire to improve own professional knowledge and skills and ability to stimulate professional interest within the team;
  • Flexibility in working hours;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules;
