Medical Sonography Technologist-2 (SN02)

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent performs all types of general and vascular ultrasound procedures in the department. Is responsible for all aspects of ultrasound examinations in the ultrasound department and for maintaining high image quality. Performs all other related duties based on departmental needs and may be asked to work on the floor as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Member in good standing of Sonography Canada;
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate;
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate;
  • Successful completion of certification programs for functions specific to the unit, within set timeframe;
  • Good judgement and communication;
  • Proven ability to organize and manage assigned workload;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
