Regional Accounts Payable Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Financial Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the employees and operations in their sector, including supplier management, disbursement management and cooperation with the purchasing sector. Plan, develop and implement best practices. Design internal controls and policies and procedures to maintain the integrity and control of all processes. Implement and maintain consistent processes across the Network, and be responsible for overseeing year-end reporting activities. 

Be responsible for managing employees physically working in other zones. As part of their duties, travel within the Network's territory to support their employees. May be assigned various duties based on the operational needs of Financial Services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in accounting;
  • Professional designation in accounting (CPA) an asset;
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in financial accounting;
  • Experience supervising and managing staff along with strong coaching skills;
  • Proven skill and experience in the development and implementation of best practices;
  • A combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
  • Proven transformational leadership ability;
  • Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
  • Ability to manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously; understanding of the organization’s needs and priorities;
  • Analytical and writing skills and ability to see the “big picture”;
  • Good knowledge of, and skills with, Microsoft Office;
  • Availability to travel within the Network’s territory;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to solve complex situations;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules.
