Supervisor, Facilities Management Department

JOB SUMMARY:

The supervisor is responsible for the planning and coordination of all activities related to corrective and preventive maintenance within the mechanical and electrical sectors, including related systems in Zone 5 as well as keeping all architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans of facilities and sites up to date. Acts as a resource person for Vitalité Health Network for certain projects.

N.B. These are only the main duties of the position. Other related duties may occasionally be assigned as required for the smooth operation of the sector.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College training in building engineering technology (civil, electrical, mechanical) or related training; equivalent experience may be considered;
  • Experience in the field of public, institutional, commercial or industrial building construction;
  • Experience in supervision, planning and project coordination/management;
  • Experience in preventive maintenance software operation would be considered an asset;
  • Experience in the operation, maintenance and construction of hospital facilities would be considered an asset;
  • Leadership, initiative and good judgment, organizational culture and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work with software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Autocad, Megamation, and others as needed;
  • Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  • Valid driver’s licence (class 5 minimum) and good driving record;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Good reference of previous work;
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
