The Opportunity
The Service Manager will be responsible for the preparation of service/repair estimates, the scheduling and coordination of service work (in house and field service). He/ She will be responsible for the supervision of a team of employees and ensures that the work produced meets customer requirements and company standards while addressing escalated customer issues and requests.
The Role
- Responsible for day-to-day support of the business of Service sales to customers
- Execute Continuous Improvement initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and maximize efficiencies including service, warranty programs and operations at the branch
- Proactive Problem Solving and guidance to the team as it relates to service objectives
- Provide training and support for all Service technicians and supervisors
- Manage Service Shop personnel performance, safety, training and customer service
- Work with customers, suppliers and co-workers to fulfill service orders and inquiries with service and cost expectations
- Proactive Word Order management to support revenue growth and meet customer expectations
- Provides budget input
- Service work groups at the branch and supervises effective completion of tasks to meet/exceed business targets
The Candidate
Education: College diploma / Post secondary education/ Skilled trade certification + Manufacturing/Engineering experience considered an asset.
Work Experience: 4-6 years related experience in service, product support operations, and Industrial Hydraulics (Engineering)/manufacturing considered advantageous
Knowledge: Experience working with budgets, analyzing budgets and developing targets , critical problem solving (Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen) considered advantageous
Proficiency: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
