Start Date: ASAP Schedule: 34.5 hours per week 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-4:00pm Friday Nonaffiliated Grade 4: Step 1 $64,419 - Step 5 $80,524 The Wellington Catholic DSB seeks a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our Human Resources Department, to strengthen our workforce by recruiting and onboarding top talent for casual staff roles. In this position, you will develop and implement strategies to build a robust and sustainable pipeline of casual staff to support the operations of our Board. An ambassador for the organization, you will drive the recruitment and selection process, representing Wellington Catholic DSB at promotional and hiring events, engaging in community relations to attract qualified talent, and supporting new hires through onboarding. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for casual staff and extend offers of employment. Prepare and maintain job posting templates and interview and reference checking frameworks. Facilitate the interview process by coordinating dates and interview teams. Track applicant status and monitor the successful completion of pre-hire conditions. Provide support to new hires during onboarding to ensure successful immersion into the board. Build and maintain relationships with faculties of education, colleges, and other relevant organizations to attract diverse and qualified candidates. Coordinate student placement opportunities, ensuring compliance with academic institution requirements and board policies. Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote the board as an employer of choice within the education sector at job fairs, open houses, and recruitment events. Collect, analyze, and report on hiring metrics, including recruitment trends, candidate pools, and fill rates. Plan and communicate annual orientation sessions for new casual staff.Manage the annual electronic criminal offence declaration process for all employees. Stay informed about trends and best practices and make recommendations for process improvements to streamline and enhance the candidates experience.Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Post Secondary Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent experience. Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from HRPA or working towards certification is considered an asset. 2 years of experience in recruitment or Human Resources. Familiarity with the Employment Standards Act, AODA, and Human Rights legislation. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced office environment with excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship building. Proficiency in a computerized environment including HRIS, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and other web-based applications. Ability to maintain discretion with confidential and sensitive information/issues in a professional manner. Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
