Under the general supervision of the Manager, Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Receptionist/Clerk is responsible for: performing receptionist and clerical duties including: acting as a receptionist in the Human Resources main office; maintaining the personnel records filing system; processing incoming mail; assisting the Workers' Compensation Clerk as required; maintaining the employee locker system; picking up and distributing computer-processed reports; processing Leave of Absence forms; ordering supplies and maintaining inventory; and performing other related duties as assigned.
- Six (6) months previous clerical experience.
- Grade XII or recognized equivalent.
- Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in current and related software applications.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand French.
- Ability to maintain information on a confidential basis.
- Ability to cope under stressful situations.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Pleasant telephone manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Neat and tidy appearance.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
