We are currently looking for a saw operator to fill a permanent full-time position on the evening shift, Monday to Thursday.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN JOINING THE TEAM
Under the supervision of the Fabrication Supervisor, cut metal using a hydraulic saw according to mechanical drawings and instructions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimize cuts using plans indicating the shape, the dimensions, the lengths and the number of pieces to be cut
- Verify that parts are available and determine those to be cut
- Cut metal parts for assembly using hydraulic saw
- Rigorously respect quality criteria, making the necessary verifications
- Ensure the exactness of the cut according to the mechanical plans
- Sand cut ends with various tools (band sander …)
- Place cut parts in designated areas with crane or palette lift
- Clean saws and work station, put away tools and instruments used
- Inform Foreman of any problems that arise
- Advise Foreman of any equipment maintenance
- Unload delivery trucks with crane and store metal in designated areas
- Is aware and careful of safety of self and others (health & safety)
