Under the supervision of the Front Office Manager, the bell attendant plays a key role in the guest experience at Hôtel Clarendon. By providing fast and high-quality service, this position combines the responsibilities of a valet, concierge, and bellhop. If you enjoy helping others, discovering local options, and planning memorable activities, this job is for you!

YOUR ROLE
  • Welcome guests to the hotel

  • Park guest vehicles

  • Transport guest luggage

  • Inform guests about local activities and events

  • Guide and direct guests as needed

  • Contact local businesses to provide guests with helpful recommendations

  • All related duties aimed at delivering high-quality service


WORK SCHEDULE
  • Shifts may vary between day, evening, and weekend hours, depending on hotel occupancy and the tourist season

  • Part-time candidates must be available at least three (3) days per week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays

    These conditions are governed by articles 8.06 (d) and 13.01 (a) of the collective agreement

Requested skills

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hold a valid driver’s license for over two years and be able to drive manual transmission vehicles.

  • Be cheerful and welcoming.

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.

  • To have a good physical endurance and be able to handle prolonged standing and movement periods.

  • Be capable of lifting luggage or items weighing over 50 lbs.

  • Have prior customer service experience.

  • Handle confidential information with respect and discretion.

  • Be organized, with a strong sense of priorities and stress management.

  • Knowledge of Québec City’s highlights, including restaurants, shops, and activities, is a strong asset.


Commissions

Tip and bonus for the luggage from group buses (2.50$/bags)
