Reporting to the Project Manager, the Electrical Design, Team Lead will be a key member of the engineering team.

What You'll Do Here:

Supervise and coordinate: Oversee the daily activities of the electrical distribution team, ensuring design tasks are completed efficiently and safely

Technical support: Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to power distribution systems.

Project Management: Work closely with the Project Management Team to ensure designs are completed on time and within budget.

Training and development: Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.

Resource management: Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and operational goals.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all project related documents.
Safety: Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for employees, sub contractors, and consultants in compliance with the projects Environmental Health and Safety Program

Complete technical design drawing reviews for scope adherence, and CAD quality.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant job experience.
Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications.

Previous managerial experience is considered an asset.

Experience with Quick Pole, SPIDA Calc or PLS CAD is considered an asset.
Good knowledge of North American codes and standards such as CSA, NEC, CEC, IEEE, or NERC
Experience in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation is an asset.
Experience working with electrical distribution utilities.
Exceptional ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be able to work under pressure and have a sense of urgency.
Must have a valid Drivers License.
