Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is a hiring for a contract Manager of Corporate Projects to join our National Assurance team from July 2025 to September 2026. This role offers flexibility to work from any of our offices across Canada. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who can collaborate with internal stakeholders across a variety of disciplines. They will be supporting a team of recognized experts and will play an integral part in assisting the firm to deliver strategic initiatives. This individual will own the following responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for the team.

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for projects.

  • Effectively allocate and manage resources to achieve project goals within budget.

  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and potential clients, to ensure alignment and support.

  • Articulate project objectives, progress, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, marketing, and IT to ensure the smooth operation of the team.

  • Work closely with team members to establish, maintain and improve internal processes.

  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve project milestones and objectives.

  • Address conflicts or challenges that may arise during the project with professionalism and tact.

Your experience and education

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in project management or a related field.

  • You possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a PMO analyst, project manager, or comparable role.

  • You display comprehensive knowledge of project management strategies, methodologies, and tools.

  • You exhibit proficiency in MS Suite of products (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint).

  • You showcase strong abilities in program coordination and administration.

  • You have advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • You exemplify exceptional teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to collaborate harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
