Description
Buffalo Trail Public Schools has an immediate need for a temporary full time Humanities teacher in Delnorte School.
Teaching in multi-graded classrooms, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
SS 1/2/3 ( Grades 3 curriculum ), SS 4/5/6 (Grade 4 curriculum), SS 7/8/9, ELA 7/8/9, and ELA 10/20.
This position is set to start immediately and with a tentative end date of October 25th, 2024.
There is the possibility this position may be extended.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students
Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator
A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset
Experience in multi-graded classroom settings would be considered an asset.
Delnorte School is a small rural school with 60 students in grades 1-12 in combined grade classrooms.
Innisfree is a small community in east central Alberta. This quiet village has a population of 250 and rural district approximately 1250. Innisfree offers essential services and recreational facilities.
