THE ROLEUnder the supervision of the Manager, Community Recreation, the Aerobics Instructor plans, organizes and delivers aerobics classes. They demonstrate and instruct aerobic and recreational activities and techniques. They assemble supplies and equipment such as music, as required. The Aerobics Instructor prepares class schedules, designs programs and assists with the advertising and public relations.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma and some years of experience conducting aerobics classes
Aerobics Instructors Certification
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Experience
In planning, organizing, and delivering aerobic classes
In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential
