Description
CFMWS. A job with purpose. Our 4000+ person strong organization champions a healthy, fun, creative and active lifestyle for Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their families. Help us deliver a variety of recreation and fitness programs, offer family support, organize charity events and make sure our members access retail, travel and banking discounts and customized financial services. At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we love what we do. And we live it too.
THE ROLEAs a Store Manager, you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You manage the store operations: maintaining and maximizing sales while controlling expenditures and reviewing stock relative to sales and gross profit, taking corrective action if needed. You ensure the latest market changes, operating procedures and corporate selling practices are applied and provide coaching to employees regarding these practices.
The Store Manager develops marketing strategies and ensures effective use of advertising material and in-store signage. You use proper layout and display techniques for merchandise, ensuring the overall visual aspect of the store creates a favorable customer impression. You prepare budget estimates, monitor revenue and expenses, prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising, gross profits, and loss prevention. You act as the CANEX local representative and ensure local concessionaire’s corporate objectives are achieved.
This is a role where everyone works as one team using modernized technology and an understanding of the unique pressures and rewards of military service to provide the best customer experience for our members and to simplify and improve their lives. If you thrive in a customer focused environment and in a culture that is passionate about exceeding customer expectations, this is the opportunity for you.
