A full suite of financial solutions, tailored to the realities of our Canadian Armed Forces Members and their families, is offered through the SISIP Financial division within CFMWS. SISIP Financial services are available to Canadian Armed Forces Members both virtually and in-person. We have 23 offices located in CAF communities across Canada. Our national office is located in Ottawa.

THE ROLE

The SISIP Learning Specialist, Financial Education is responsible for financial resiliency initiatives, in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Financial Education, advisory teams, partners and other senior stakeholders. They will create, design and implement learning strategies from inception to implementation. This includes conducting needs assessments, developing, delivering, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating instructional materials in a variety of formats (e.g., eLearning, webinar, in-person workshops, etc.) which supports projects that are geared toward enhancing the financial resiliency of CAF members and their families.

The successful candidate has experience in adult education, learning & development, instructional design, curriculum development, education technology, and project management. They excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and have strong communication and relationship building skills. Experience in change management and working in the financial industry are assets. With a focus on member experience, they will gather insights and feedback to continuously improve the learning experience for our members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline AND some years of experience in financial services and project management, or a related field

Experience

In planning, designing/developing, managing, coordinating and evaluating financial services programs/activities

In conducting research and analysis

In project management

In providing advice and guidance

In planning, developing and/or conducting communications and presentations

In developing, interpreting and evaluating policies, guidelines and procedures

In business and data analysis and reporting, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

In personnel administration

In budget administration

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs, projects, and activities related to a designated portfolio.

Research, evaluate, amend and/or recommend tools, processes and/or systems to support financial services programs, projects and activities.

Identify opportunities for improvement and initiate changes/updates to achieve desired outcomes.

Liaise and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including but not limited to: consultants, government departments, service providers and agencies.

Develop, prepare, manage and/or implement briefing notes, position papers, reports, presentations, communications, training or other materials/documentation.

Act as the subject matter expert for program management within a designated portfolio.

Conduct research, surveys, audits and/or analysis of programs, compile and analyze data, and develop solutions or make recommendations.

Provide advice, guidance, training, coaching and/or support related to a designated portfolio.

Start Date: 6 January, 2025

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.

The selection process will be done virtually.

Relocation benefits will not be provided.
